Well, earlier this month I was examining my ends and noticed that I severely needed a haircut. So as you do, I walked into a hair dressers and asked for a 2 inches off. Low and behold, the hair dresser went to town and decided to cut five inches off. It was one of those awkward situations where she looks at you and asks, "How's the length?" and I (with panic in my eyes) just nod and say "Yeah, it's great!" So, I strolled out of their, put on a beanie and rushed home to mourn the loss of my long locks. So I thought I would blog about it, since I haven't posted since summer (oops). So, there is an upside to this story. After playing around with it for a few days it has definitely started to grow on me, though I do still like my long hair better. This cut makes me look more mature, and I feel like more of the almost-grown up I am. Anyways, here's a picture! (p.s. happy to be back)

Hey, it's me... Kinza. haha I know its been a while since my last post and honestly, not much has happened since. I basically haven't found much to write about. It's always been on my mind though!
So, recently my parents and I have taken a trip to New York City and I thought I would share some pictures. :) I had such an amazing time and it was everything I thought it would be! So if you're thinking about going to New York and for some reason are crazy enough to have doubts: DO IT. It will not disappoint.
Hope you guys are doing okay, and I'll be back soon hopefully. <3
What I come home to, missed my BF ;)

|Left: Big Girls Don't Cry Right: Rotonde|
I can never go through Sephora or any beauty hall I go to without checking out the latest products from the NARS god's, and they definitely did not disappoint. NARS is a brand does everything, and does it extremely well. They have gorgeous blushers, eye shadows, lip products, foundations... the list goes on. I can almost guarantee there will be a NARS product that you will lust after whether you're in need of it or not.
Recently, they have collaborated Pierre Hardy to create a shed load of nail polishes and two cheek products. As someone who is a self proclaimed blush hoarder, I simply could not decide what one to get so I ended up accidentally buying both-- OOPS?
The first thing that I noticed about these were their beautiful gold design woven through the powder, sadly it id only on the surface. When I swatched these in store I was AMAZED. They were definitely smoother and more velvety than normal NARS blushers (I didn't even think that was possible) and they are VERY densely pigmented.
These blushes are true to colour, are really blend-able and finely milled. They are matte, so don't let the shimmery gold detail fool you-- it is just an overspray and it will disappear as you start to use the product.
Big Girls Don't Cry is a gorgeous bright hot pink. When applied to the cheeks the colour can be a bit scary, but when it's blended it looks gorgeous and surprisingly natural. Rotonde is my favourite out of the two. It's a straight up pumpkin orange that is very true to colour when applied, but just like BGDC, it looks very subtle but vibrant when blended out.
I find the best way to apply these are with a very loosely packed stippling brush. Tap your brush in the pan once or twice (if you dare) and wipe off the excess onto the back of your hand. Then make you're "blusher face" (we all have one) and apply.
Bright blushers are my favourite and I tend to grab them more than typical "everyday" colours since they can just bright up your face without much effort and make you look more awake and fresh.
These were more pricey than NARS blushers usually are ($41 rather than $28) but
I noticed they have the same amount of product as the NARS bronzers (Laguna/Casino), so even though they are more expensive I justified spending that much money on them because they have more product and are so pigmented I will probably never run out of them even if I use them everyday.
Have you tried out anything from NARS?

This morning I looked out my bedroom window and thought 'Wow, what a surprise! Rain! Again! That's great! No really, it's great!' .... It wasn't great. It's crazy how weather can influence your mood so quickly. Just one glance outside and I had already determined I would have a bad day, then someone sent me a hilarious YouTube video (I won't lie, it's VERY RANDOM) but nonetheless it brightened my mood instantly. If you were thought you were going to have a crappy day because of something as little as crappy weather or something that is more serious, then don't underestimate the power of a good laugh because your mood can do a complete 180 degree turn and you could go from being on the verge of tears to having a huge smile plastered on your face feeling like you could take on the world. I hope you're all having a good day :)
ps. here's the video. WARNING: I have a strange sense of humour so you may not (probably will not) find it as amusing as I did.

Don't you love a good pun? They always just crack me up no matter how lame or stupid, though, that is beside the point. Today I want to show you a new lip combo that I have been loving. I am someone who mainly wears neutral lipsticks, glosses or stains because they:
1. Are easy.
2. Wear off evenly.
3. Are easy.
4. Don't need reapplying.
5. Are moisturizing/ don't emphasize dryness.
6. Don't draw attention to myself.
7. ARE EASY.
All that being said, I have found myself attracted to this bright and bold duo that is totally something that is out of my usual comfort zone and is completely different from what I usually stick to.
Okay, so now I present to you the stars of the show: L'Oreal Colour Riche Colour Caresse Lipstick in Fiery Veil and the Revlon Just bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous. Both of these products are a bright orange/ coral colour that work well together.
Bottom: L'Oreal Colour Riche Colour Caresse
Have you tried any of these? What is/ are your winning lip product(s)? How is your month of May so far? Got any puns?
Hope your having a good month! :)

First of all: hear's a better look at my hair again. I've been using a purple shampoo and conditioner and they have toned down more of the orangey tones that were still present in my previous post.
Secondly: sorry for the awful lighting. You can't really see much on my face today, but I thought it would be fine as the look I'm wearing isn't all that spectacular.
I decided that I could not be bothered to mess around with eye shadow today so here's is an example of something that I would throw on when I'm feeling lazy but don't want anyone to notice.
Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in St. Moritz (a little dark but shhhh)
YSL Variation Blush in #2
YSL Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy in #10
Revlon Nearly Naked pressed powder in 030 Medium
GOSH Brow pen in Dark Brown
Maybelline Greatlash clear mascara (as a brow gel)
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch highlighting concealer in Radiant (WAY too light so I mixed it with the my tinted moistuizer to create my perfect colour.)
Physicians Formula liquid liner
Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes waterproof mascara
Benefit Watt's Up highlighter
